SculpSure Liposuction Alternative

Plastic Surgery for New York City (NYC), Manhattan and all of New York (NY)

Sculpsure is a non-invasive Laser treatment for the reduction of stubborn fat such as the abdomen and love handles.

SculpSure is FDA cleared for the abdomen and waist, but can be used off-label for other problematic areas such as the arms and thighs.

How quick are the results of SculpSure?

Results begin to be seen after about 6 weeks as the body begins to eliminate the injured fat cells. Optimal results are seen at about 12 weeks. Approximately 24% improvement is seen after 1 session. Most patients need 2 treatments, with the second treatment started after 6 weeks. Studies have shown that after the second treatment one can expect around 40% total  improvement. Some patients want to have even a third session which will further improve the treated areas resulting in a much slimmer appearance.

How Does SculpSure Work?

Applicators are applied on the areas to be treated which through light based energy injure fat cells. In the course of several weeks following treatment, the body eliminates the injured fat cells resulting in a slimmer appearance.

Is the SculpSuretreatment painful?

For the most part the treatment is relatively painless.

Advantages Of SculpSure:

  • No down time
  • Can be done during lunch hour
  • No anesthesia
  • No recuperation
  • No bruising
  • No pain- some may have slight tingling

When can I return to work?

Patients can generally return to work immediately. Occasionally there may be some mild discomfort and/or bruising which disappears after a few days.

How Long Do Results Last?

The fat cells are permanently injured during treatment and therefore, like after liposuction, there is generally no recurrence unless someone gains significant weight.
