What is Liquid Facelift?
A liquid facelift rejuvenates the face by filling, smoothing, and re-contouring using injectables such as Botox and fillers including Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse. A liquid facelift is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure.
Unlike a traditional surgical facelift, which involves making incisions and manipulating facial tissues, a Liquid Facelift achieves its effects through the use of injectable dermal fillers and neuromodulators. These injectable dermal fillers are strategically infiltrated into specific areas of the face to target aging signs and provide more natural-looking results.
A liquid facelift, utilizing substances like poly L lactic acid, offers a non-surgical approach to stimulate collagen production and restore facial volume for a natural and rejuvenated appearance.
How Does Liquid Facelift Work?
During a liquid facelift procedure, dermal fillers are injected into particular areas of the face such as the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds (lines around the mouth), and marionette lines to restore lost volume.
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances composed of hyaluronic acid or other biocompatible materials. During the consultation, Dr. Lefkovits examines your facial anatomy, appearance, and skin tone and determines if you are a suitable candidate for a liquid facelift.
Preparation for liquid facelift
Before beginning the procedure, the doctor will cleanse your face with an antibacterial gel. In most cases, a Liquid Facelift does not require anesthesia. A topical numbing cream may be administered to reduce any discomfort experienced during the injections
Dermal Filler and Botox Injection
This is the primary step in the liquid face lift procedure. The doctor strategically injects dermal fillers into specific areas of the face that require volume restoration or enhancement.
If neuromodulators like Botox are part of the treatment plan, they are carefully injected into targeted facial muscles to relax them. Throughout the procedure, the doctor will take a look to see the results and make adjustments.
Recovery and self-care
Once the procedure is over, your face will be cleaned up, and you will get post-care instructions. You can go back to your regular activities right after the procedure.
