About Breast Lifts with Augmentation

A breast lift with augmentation addresses two main concerns in one surgical procedure: breast volume and breast position. After aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, or other factors, many women experience breasts that appear deflated and sagging and nipples that face downward, all of which can contribute to an aged breast appearance. Preparation

Each patient will receive a personalized set of preoperative instructions at their consultation, detailing how to prepare for their breast lift and augmentation. You should follow all instructions provided to you to optimize your recovery and results. Instructions often include:

  • Refrain from taking medications and supplements with blood-thinning properties
  • Quit smoking several weeks before and after treatment, if applicable
  • Avoid alcohol consumption before your procedure
  • Arrange transportation home from the procedure
  • Schedule time away from work and other responsibilities
  • Obtain any necessary medications
  • Designate a comfortable environment to recover in

Recovery

After the procedure, patients may experience swelling, bruising, and other discomfort. Intense physical activity should be avoided during the first several weeks of healing, but light walks are encouraged to increase circulation.
